Friday 23rd May - walk **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny
periods.
After missing out last Friday on Maeva day as they were away on holiday we
were looking forward to today, Mag drives around to pick her up which gives
me time to do my exercises and set up the parsol and toys in the back
garden. The sun makes a welcome return today and we have a wonderful
morning playing with dolls, books and water, give Maeva a watering can and
she is happy for ages! She soon asks for a sandwich and crisps which I make
while Mag and I have a cuppa! We were going to get sausage and chips but as
Maeva had her sandwich we decided to walk to Greggs for sausage rools and
cake and walk down to the beach, there was a bit of an onshore breeze so we
enjoyed our picnic sheltered by the small round pond and the small fish had
some crumbs too! Maeva then walked away through the Spa garden and back
along the prom, near the theatre we through some stones in before
continuing to the pier and back up Convalscent Hill, a bit of a slog
pushing a buggy! Back at home Maeva fell asleep on Mag while we had a cuppa
and biscuit. Maeva woke but still sleepy, so after a blast of 80’s disco
Mag took Maeva home, another top day with the granddaughter. There is some
welcome rain forecast with a rund of westerly winds so I hope to get out
foiling!
